This approach is for sensitive souls. If you are looking to take your practice to greater depths and you have a history with mediation, yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Gong etc… this approach could suit you. There is a phenomenon called myofascial unwinding which many bodyworkers and Yogis have some awareness of. The unwinding process can basically be described as micro movements which are the key to Yoga Asanas. Micro movements are rooted in a process of unwinding which follows the truth that tension is a steering wheel. When we surrender and allow movement to occur our physical/emotional tension guides the progression and body towards balance. This approach moves the Yogi into more advanced stages of practice in which rigid structures of typical Yoga classes are left behind in favor of surrender to Flow. The body flows independent of our use of force or thought. So much movement is automatic from breathing, digestion, our hearts beating, to walking … and it’s within the stillness we can learn to recognize and surrender to flow which is an extension of the force which pervades all matter.
